Have you ever heard anyone say that certain emotions like anger, sadness or jealousy are “bad” and can even do you harm to feel them?

Our emotions are often misunderstood, and in the video below I want to clarify how emotions work and why we’ve sometimes concluded that they can be negative. This understanding is a critical part of Heart IQ and will help you become more emotionally intelligent in your life.

The truth is is that all emotion is healthy, but NOT when you push it down and repress feeling what’s moving for you. Thus NO emotions are actually bad or negative, but they can just come out in unnatural ways.

One quote that I love says, “Resentment is drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.” This speaks wonders as there are major consequences when you push down your emotions. Do you know what happens when you repress anger, joy, fear, sadness or envy?

Watch today’s video to find out!

Remember: all emotions are enjoyable, as long as we are feeling them. It’s so vital that we hold space for each other, giving one another and ourselves full permission to be real in whatever we’re feeling.
