60 years ago no one was talking about Gluten intolerance, wheat intolerance or Coeliac Disease. Now, pretty much every restaurant and pub has a decent selection of “Gluten Free” meals and most supermarkets stock a wide range of Gluten-Free products (although I’ll be showing you later that many of these are NOT in fact gluten-free at all) for you to choose from. The question is: have we developed to become more intolerant of gluten, or are our methods of diagnosis improving?
In the coming weeks I’ll be hoping to answer that question, along with giving you some simple ways to a) detect whether you and/or others in your family are gluten intolerant and b) simple but delicious ways to enjoy a gluten-free life!
